We’ve staged and photographed this home so much. There was always more things to add, more pictures to hang, more plants and decor to source and vignettes to create.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And lots and lots of magic eraser on the walls and doors.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s absolutely a work of layers on layers. And we reinvest the profit back into the house & property. Right now, our main goal is to create systems and checklists, so we can "host remotely" and still ensure that the house is in tip top condition for our guests.

We’re booked out 2 months in advance. But it’s always nerve-wracking to wonder if we’ll get more bookings the coming months. Thankfully, our two other units in the property have long term tenants.

Saw some beautiful architecture and walked around neighborhoods reminiscent of Europe in Quebec City. Had a wonderful stay at @fairmontfrontenac

Then had a small urban adventure in Montréal where we stayed in the old town @hotelwilliamgray .
Lots of food and shops and places to see at walking distance.

Best of all, spent time with Daniel parents.

Enlarged the existing garage and built an attached ADU of 1,200 SF.
2 bedrooms 1.5 bathrooms.

Favorite part of the design: wrap around stairs with these two windows leading to an office/nook area. Wished we had put a skylight above the stairs. #nexttime

Currently designing the cutest farmhouse-style barn into an ADU in Eagle Rock. #fairparkadu

This barn used to house horses and it's in very good condition. We're going to preserve as much of the aesthetics as possible while at the same time converting it into a functional two-bedroom house (vaulted in the interior).

You can peek at the barn from the street.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What's surprising about this multi-unit complex is that there is no parking on site. There is no driveway and no alley. My guess is that this is where they kept the horses and the people who took care of the horses lived in the cottages. You don't need a car when you have horses!

Took my parents to @gettymuseum this weekend and had fun walking around the beautiful museum and gardens.

The tram ride is my favorite: it’s like a procession, a transition from the city into a peaceful place. Views are awesome up there and the place is so immaculate.

My parents seemed to have fun. It was their first time at the Getty, and frankly to any museums. Growing up, we didn’t have museums where we came from. It was not until I moved to the US where I experienced museums for the first time.

I was happy to share this with them and see their reactions to the space and the collection. I think they enjoyed themselves.

Did a fun DIY project this week for our newest @airbnb

I got this cabinet from my neighbors, they left it in the alley so I brought it in. It was just what I was looking for: drawers and storage. This was back in the beginning of March so we were storing it this entire time 🫢

Finally got around painting it with @beyondpaintdiy and couldn’t be happier with the result. No priming or sealer needed. All I did was sanded lightly, cleaned it with a microfiber cloth and multi surface cleaner, and started painting right away.

All in all, took me about 20 minutes of prep and 45 minutes of painting (2 coats and minor touch ups).

I’m really proud of myself for actually doing it. I’ve been telling myself for years that I’m going to work on DIY projects around the house but never actually got around to doing it.

It’s the beginning of being more intentional with my interests and just going for it. And have fun while I’m at it.
